My Unforgettable Days in my Life

My Unforgettable Days in my Life The days which I cannot overlook in life are my school days. The School wherein I examined was SSV East Tambaram. The days were sweet and lovely and I used to wish that night ought not get through my life, since I needed to remain in school yet the nature didnt permit me. I concentrated there till I entered my graduation course. Let me share a portion of my sweet recollections. One fine Morning, my folks brought me into the school grounds while I was holding their hands firmly as though I was going to go into a lions mouth. I despite everything recollect that I was shouting like anything when my folks left me in the hands of my educator. I was made to sit alongside other youngsters and they also were crying boisterously by observing them I cried considerably more. Like that the entire day went on with loaded with tears all around the study hall. Following multi week I was utilized to it and I made my first companions. All my kinder nursery classes were done with a portion of the rudiments in my psyche which is as yet helping me around my life. At the point when I was in class 3 a kid came into our group, and there were a few young men who were menaces of the class around then. At the point when he came those young men went over him and they prodded him deeply and I went over and admonished them, from that time the class appreciated me, those young men went to their places and we both became companions and I had no clue why I reprimanded those young men for the new comer. Be that as it may, some enchantment experienced our hearts and we are still companions including those young men who prodded him. My school grounds had an extremely little territory for playing, I am certain that no different grounds will give their understudies like our own. Our play area had a zone about 2000sq.ft.In that 500sq.ft was utilized by the drivers for stopping. There was just a single hour in seven days for playing, on that event likewise there were 2 to 3 different classes of kids used to come and involve the ground. Despite the fact that the number was huge for playing we used to play all the games including cricket and football. The best thing while at the same time playing was on the off chance that we hit the ball somewhat above noticeable all around implies it will go into the following house. Along these lines, we needed to ask them and get the show on the road. Meanwhile the ace will come and state your time is over return to your classes. Numerous multiple times we return to class at a speed in which we came. Despite the fact that it had a little zone we used to appreciate the hour and wil l be enthusiastically hanging tight for one week from now to come. Till class fifth I used to write in pencils it was hard for me to utilize that in light of the fact that each time when we do botches we have take it off and if the pencil was not sharp we needed to utilize sharpeners, I abhorred utilizing them. At that point, finally came my day when we went into class sixth I was given the authorization to utilize pen. It was vastly improved to utilize, the words were clear and the things which I composed were snappy and added excellence to the words. At that point following two years came another unexpected it was we all came into the school wearing pants and young ladies came in churidar. That day was energizing and great in light of the fact that before we utilized wear shorts which was clever, on the grounds that a few young men will be cumbersome that it wont suit them. Be that as it may, every single year separated from birthday celebrations everybody in grounds will be permitted to wear causals on November fourteenth in the interest of Jawah arlal Nehrus birthday. The grounds looked beautiful and all appearances will be sparkling like stars as though we have accomplished some incredible thing. On that event the classes will be adorned with blossoms, shading papers and inflatables all around and will have no classes on that solitary day. All the understudies will be occupied with certain plays and rest will appreciate watching the projects. The days were moving in a rocket speed, and the day came when we were going to get isolated. In our school there was a technique followed when the understudies came to 9th.They used to rearrange all the understudies dependent on the aftereffects of eighth .On that day all the understudies should remain in the assembly hall and they will get out the names and as needs be we move to our particular classes. All the understudies will be dismal and the faces look dull on the grounds that the companions with whom we were up to eighth are getting isolated. I also was feeling tragic for a week and afterward I got typical. In the wake of finishing ninth all the understudies got genuine and productive than before in light of the fact that we were in class 10th.Usually all different schools during these periods use to keep extraordinary classes and will lead normal test to make them solid to confront the board test, however my school didnt do such things. We were without let and no exceptional classes were there and had a midterm test for a month. Be that as it may, the understudies in my group were occupied in examines. Be that as it may, I didnt pay attention to it much I was what I was previously. The days passed on and my first board test came my direction. Our school had a place with Shankaracharya who is popular in the Hindu religion. They used to give endowments before we take our tests. I dont realize the amount it chipped away at me. I was exceptionally apprehensive during study occasions, and they also passed on and the day desired me to take my tests. On the main test I was apprehensive, after that I was ordinary, took the tests effectively than the tests taken in the school. After my tests were over I was on a long leave for about 3months, it was the longest leave that I had got in my school days. Our school used to give the gatherings before the outcomes went ahead the premise of the exhibition in the school tests. I got the gathering before the test results. At that point came the outcome and it was alright. I was not making a big deal about the outcome since I got the gathering which I required. This present reality of satisfaction came to me when I went into my 11th.After three months of hole I was into the grounds and when I went into the class every one of them were new faces scarcely 3boys were known to me. It was where all the diligent folks were set, I was stunned why I have been to this class and tears were there in my eyes by observing them. All used to discuss studies and I used to watch their mouths. Like that multi week went on, and afterward one instructor went to our group and said that this class has more understudies when contrasted with the different class of comparable gatherings. She told that 3 of them ought to go to next class, I immediately stood up and disclosed to I was willing and thank god I was out of that class at last .When I went to the following class I saw every one of my companions and I blended with them and there from my satisfaction began. In each school they used to state that eleventh is utilized for appreciating since we have been buckling down for most recent one year and to buckle down for the coming year. It was a year to unwind and to appreciate the school days. Every single day my pleasure continued expanding. I made new companions and framed a group of 12 individuals from different gatherings. Each morning we use to amass, appreciate breaking senseless jokes which despite everything stay in my heart. During those days I was associated with numerous games exercises. Our school was popular for a game named kho-kho in our zone. The understudies of our school were perceived by this game from the day our school was begun. I was particularly connected to that game and I delighted in it a great deal. We used to rehearse at night after the school hours. Our past passed out school seniors will come every day and we used to play and practice day by day for the interschool rivalry. Be that as it may, this game isn't universally perceived, however its a game where one can pick up endurance and improve his speed. The length of the game was around 30 minutes yet every single second was fascinating. We use to dominate all the matches in our zone and we were the heroes for a long time. Our School had numerous social projects and I used to take an interest each year. We used to shape a gathering of individuals and used to do some imaginative things. I despite everything recall that we did an emulate program with paint all over our body and were standing like sculptures in various positions and it was the best show at any point done in our school days and we use to move in certain capacities. In the majority of the capacities we used to do evil and get chiding from our head. After each capacity gets throughout the following working day our chief will make our gathering to remain in the assembly room for the entire day yet they will permit us in the break to eat. It was exceptionally fascinating to remain before all others. Everybody who passes will chuckle at us and we cherished those minutes. In consistently we will be trusting that the games day will come in light of the fact that during those days we will rehearse walk past with bunch chiefs of each house driving in the front. What's more, during my eleventh I was the games secretary for my school. I used to light the light. That time I was on the highest point of the world. During sports Day everybody used to wear school uniform yet I used to wear shirts and will teach all the understudies. Everybody will be taking a gander at me and they will declare in the mike that someone or other understudy has accomplished in the field of sports. Like that I was getting a charge out of every single second in my higher optional. My involvement with twelfth was additionally intriguing as I was considering school. During those days many test were directed and we were not permitted to play any games. We were made to focus on our examinations. Typically our school used to get the top position among different schools in our zone. In my clump one understudy packed away the top imprint among every single other school. The staffs who took our subjects were breathtaking and they thought us so that we had the option to execute in our school concentrates moreover. That year also went on pleasantly however the main thing which I didnt experience was goodbye, because of our seniors bad conduct. Be that as it may, that was not an issue for we used to appreciate each day with full soul and had no worries for not having it. At last the date came when we were going to take our tests which would choose our vocation and on opposite side was going to miss our companions who I cherished more than anything. As days past the test additionally reached a conclusion, and the last test was maths and still recollect that I was exceptionally passionate when we all completed our tests and returned home. Due to the economic state or countries are in, it isnt always possible for employees to be rewarded with an increase to their benefits and salary, however, there are other numerous ways one can reward their staff whilst boosting their morale that does not include breaking the bank in the process. This report will illustrate a whole host of alternative motivators that can act to influence employees behaviour and embellish employee motivation. What is non -financial recognition? Non fina Theory of motivation and rewards I think the key to motivation is understanding what someone elses key objectives are and then working to a line with their role with their objectives into the role of the companies objectives. Obviously they need to make a fit to what they want and where the company is going. According to Armstrong.M (2002), motivation theory examines the process of motivation. It explains why people at work behave in the way they do in terms of their efforts and the directions they are taking. It also describes what organisations can do to encourage people to apply their efforts and abilities in ways which will help to achieve the organisations goals as well as satisfying their own needs. There are two types of motivation Extrinsic Motivation The motivating factors are external, rewards such as money or grades. These rewards provide satisfaction and pleasure that the task itself may not provide. An extrinsically motivated person will work on a task even when they have little interest in it because of the anticipated satisfaction they will get from some reward. Intrinsic Motivation Intrinsic motivation refers to motivation that comes from inside an individual rather than from any external or outside rewards, such as money or grades. The motivation comes from the pleasure one gets from the task itself or from the sense of satisfaction in completing or even working on a task. In theory intrinsic motivation are more likely to have a longer and deeper term effect, whereas Extrinsic has an immediate and powerful effect but will not necessarily last long. Motivation theories can be divided into three main categories Instrumental / behaviourist, which in effect state that people are only motivated by money Content theory, which is concerned with the specific needs of people Maslows Hierarchy of Needs. First, Maslows hierarchy of needs assumes that needs are arranged in a system that contain lowest-level needs, which are psychological needs, and the h ighest needs which are self-actualization needs; therefore, according to Maslow, individuals must move up the hierarchy (Matteson, 1996). The assumption of Maslows theory is that individuals are motivated based on which hierarchy they are in. For example, a homeless person is not motivated by his or her social status, but his or her ability to find food and shelter. Thus, individuals have different levels of needs in each of these areas, and those levels will drive their behaviour (Matteson, 1996). Maslows application is that employees will not be fully motivated unless their basic needs are met. A practical example is if employees are not allowed to take off time to spend with their family because of continued mandatory overtime, employees will be demoralized because their need for social security is not met; thus, their work will not reach maximum potential. Employers need to understand that they have a responsibility to allow employees to have a life outside of work. Otherwise , they will lose top performers. Process or cognitive theory, which examines the psychological processes involved in motivation. Lockes Goal setting theory. This theory provides the rationale for performance management processes involving the agreement of objectives and feedback. These can be the basis for non-financial rewards (recognition). Adams Equity Theory. This theory provides a practical rationale for the morally correct treatment of peoples rewards impartially and fairly. It justifies the use of job evaluation and the need to adopt transparent reward policies and use performance management processes as means of providing for fair reward decisions and explaining how they were made. Non-Financial methods of rewards Employees would generally prefer to have their efforts rewarded with enhancements to their salary and benefits. This isnt always possible, though, especially in times of economic uncertainty. There are, however, many other ways you can reward your staff and boost morale that dont involve breaking the bank in the process. Recognition ÃÆ' ¢Ãƒ ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚ ¬Ãƒâ€šÃ‚ ¢ Recognition Can Be Simple One of the most effective ways to express appreciation is often one of the most overlooked: saying thank you. Even if most of the duties one performs are a normal part of the job, hearing thank you in a spontaneous and timely way can mean a lot to anyone. It should be done often, and can be done privately or publicly in front of co-workers. Mention the task, project, or behaviour you want to recognize and be sincere. Some departments have a yearly picnic, luncheon, or other event to show appreciation to staff for their efforts. The best motivators are manager initiated; managers must take the initiative to acknowledge people, to thank them. Organize an awards ceremony or certificate program to recognize the efforts and achievements of your staff. Along with a presenting trophies or plaques, take the time to praise employees for the work theyve done and arrange a dinner or a party for all of your employees to mark the occasion. Award prizes for effort and improved performance alongside honors for recording the highest sales figures or being responsible for most revenue generation. High use recognition managers look for opportunities to recognise employees when they do good work! Flexi-Time ÃÆ' ¢Ãƒ ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚ ¬Ãƒâ€šÃ‚ ¢ The Internet has made it much easier for people in a whole range of jobs to work remotely from home. Giving your employees the option of performing part of their function away from the workplace or offering a more flexible approach to hours is a good way to reward staff for their efforts. It also shows that you trust your workers to carry out their roles with minimal supervision and have considered their work-life balance and family commitments Incentives ÃÆ' ¢Ãƒ ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚ ¬Ãƒâ€šÃ‚ ¢Organize regular incentive schemes to reward your staff for meeting performance targets and other benchmarks. Set aside a monthly budget and ask some of your employees to form a committee to consult the entire work force of your company on how theyd like the money to be spent and how the incentive program should work. The money could be used to buy on the latest technology gadgets, nights out or vouchers from big-name stores. You could even award extra time off as an incentive if this wouldnt interfere with the needs of your business. Charity Days ÃÆ' ¢Ãƒ ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚ ¬Ãƒâ€šÃ‚ ¢Allow every staff member to take a paid day off to work for a charity. You can either allocate the charity yourself or allow employees to nominate the cause of their choice. Your workers get the satisfaction of knowing theyve helped a worthy cause and had a day away from their usual roles while your company is doing its bit to give something back to the community. Importance of employees reward Employers must offer employee rewards that the companys employees find meaningful. Well-managed employee rewards programs have tangible affirmative effects on the employers business Having an effective reward programme can help solve many of your HR issues Retention One effect a good employee rewards program has is a positive impact on employee retention, as mentioned at Loyaltyworks.com. Health and Safety Solid employee rewards programs also have measurable positive effects both on safety and workplace health, thus reducing overall health-care costs for both employee and employer. Motivation A crucial outcome of a good employee rewards program is enhanced motivation among personnel, including helping the employees to make connections between professional goals and personal goals, as described at Maritz.com. Engagement A solid employee rewards program also increases employee engagement in the workplace, a factor that converts into improved performance and better customer experience. Return on Investment Employee reward programs provide a concrete return on investment (ROI). Research has shown that employee recognition and rewards of a nonmonetary basis show a greater return on investment than do cash awards, according to Loyaltyworks.com. Bottom Line Ultimately, from the employers viewpoint, employee reward programs have a positive effect on the bottom line for reasons such as the positive effect on health care costs, performance, and workplace engagement. Factors to Consider in the Establishment of a Reward Program Before you establish a program to tangibly reward staff on an informal, ongoing basis, consider these issues: Determine why you want to establish a recognition program. You may want to reward some (or all) of the following: Time, Work, Money-saving idea, On-going or one-time customer compliments for service/satisfaction Solution to a difficult problem Outstanding one-time achievements, Outstanding attendance (particularly where public hours are important) General ongoing contributions that youd just like to acknowledge Improvement of any kind in an employees efforts Overall aims of reward management. The primary aim of reward management is to reinforce the drive to improve organizational performance. The achievement of excellence and, in the phrase of Peters and Waterman, productivity through people, depends on attracting and retaining the right calibre of people and then, having got them, providing them with both financial and non- financial inc entives and rewards which will maintain and indeed increase their motivation. In short, the aims of reward management are to attract, retain and motivate people of the quality required by the enterprise. Conclusion People might come to work for money but I find people always leave for recognition. Rewarding your employees means more than just paying them at the end of every week or month. If you think your employees should just be grateful that they have a job in the first place, the subject of rewarding your employees is one you need to pay close attention to. People do work for money but they work even more for meaning in their livesÃÆ' ¢Ãƒ ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚ ¬Ãƒâ€šÃ‚ ¦companies that ignore this fact are essentially bribing their employees and will pay the price in a lack of loyalty and commitment (Pfeffer, 1998) The best motivators today cost little or nothing. Recognition is around you all the time, a lot of the time recognition is focused on money. Money is a motivator; its just not the only one. High staff-turnover is directly linked to how well an employee feels they are appreciated and valued in their job, and high staff turnover is costly to any organisation. There are several ways in which you can reward your employees, without it costing you a lot and while possibly saving you money on recruitment at the same time. There has been a big shift in the workforce over the last ten years, theres no doubt that everybody comes to work to get paid, however, if your going to attract the best talent in your companies it is not in todays worldgoing to be all about the bottom line the dollar amount they take home. Non financial rewards are important, theres an increasing desire for every employee and generally every person in the community, to live with meaning and have a better quality of life. How can you bring this in to the work place? Do you understand what really motivates the different employees that you have in the business? Each person is wired differently and therefore need different needs, some of us need greater flexibility, that can mean who we are but also life circumstances. Generally we all want greater recognition in some ways, some want them mor e privately others want them more publicly but recognition is important. Then we can get down to free time, involvement in community activities some things that we do in our company is that we provide a quality life trip where we employ each year and this is where they can go and live out a life dream that they wouldnt otherwise do necessarily by themselves and the company pays for it, and its not just about the person going away on some fancy trip its meant to enrichen their lives but also motivate everybody else in the company about they gona and done. So we provide some free days to go and help with their community based activity that the person is passionate about. In the end this its about understanding your employees passions and helping them connect to those in the work place. Because no amount of bonus is gona make up for this. Some bonus is good but we got to understanding what is the overall life drivers of our teams. And the other area that we built in is providing more f ree time of days off around major holidays for example Christmas, when really not much happens and our work flow is lower why not provide the time off and they can be the days employees can take their days off and refresh themselves with holidays. Think about who your employees are, theyre all different and how you motivate them with non financial rewards Refrencees 1001 Ways to Reward Employees, Nelson, 1994. According to Hetheringto n and Parke (2002), studies of brain imaging identified that in female bilateralism there were greater amounts of blood flow. The male brain reflects greater lateralization attributing to a higher success rate in spatial tasks and mathematics. Freud theorized an explanation to the existence of gender-linked behavior. His model theorized that the process of identification, gender schema, and cognitive social learning theory. Freud’s theories were a bit bizarre with the fact of boys having sexual feelings for their mothers and girls feeling inadequate due to lack of boy’s reproductive organs. Kohlberg used cognitive developmental theory that stated that at an early age, children use behavior and physical features of a person to determine gender. Environmentally, a child’s experiences impact gender identity. Depending on family values or morals, a child could be confused by their gender. When a baby is born, there is much control on colors (if boy or girl) and idea s of the parents on how they would want to raise their daughter or son.
